My OT practice has pivoted from a sensory-gym-based model to one focused on working in the community and in clients’ homes. Playgrounds, gym settings, and all types of home environments are now where we meet. Moving from a structured sensory gym to real-world environments like homes and public parks is fantastic for generalization, and I am very excited by this change in approach. As before, most of my clients remain primarily on the west side of Manhattan, but I am happy to speak to and collaborate with families, fellow practitioner, and professionals located anywhere.
